Donna J. Parker, Ph.D., NCC, LCPC
Dr. Donna Parker is a local psychotherapist in private practice who employs a variety of therapeutic styles ranging from brief solution focused therapy designed to address specific issues of concern, to more intensive psychotherapeutic approaches chosen by some clients in order to deal with more severe emotional, interpersonal, or psychological difficulties. The design and style of therapy is tailored to meet the specific needs of the client.
As an active therapist in the community Dr. Parker has provided individual and group counseling for concerns ranging from coaching in interpersonal and relational skills, supportive counseling for grief and bereavement, separation and divorce, an treatment of depression, anxiety, panic disorders, OCD, drug and alcohol counseling, life transition and stress related lifestyle issues.
With a history as an active duty soldier in the U.S. Army followed by 20 years as a military spouse, Donna brings real life experience as well as a profound level of understanding and sincere empathy for members of the military, their spouses and families as well as civilian employees of the Federal system.
Donna is an accomplished musician with over 16 years of professional involvement in the musical community both in the U.S. and overseas. She has worked as a musician, conductor, liturgy director, and performer. While a gifted vocalist, her primary list of instruments also includes piano, organ, guitar, flute, and Baroque recorder. Jennifer E. Beall, MS, NCC, LCPC
Pastoral Counselor
Jennifer is a licensed counselor who holds a master's degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College in Maryland; she is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Pastoral Counseling. In addition to pastoral counseling, she trains businesses, churches, individuals, and couples in the use of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®.
Jennifer specializes in the treatment of addictions, alcoholism, and related issues, including codependency and "adult child" issues. She focuses upon helping clients to address addictive patterns that developed in childhood as necessary survival mechanisms, but which now interfere with leading a healthy life.
Jennifer draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches in her work with clients. She is skilled in the use of brief cognitive behavioral therapy for the treatment of depression, anxiety, and interpersonal or relationship problems. When clients need or want to go deeper, she incorporates other therapeutic approaches such as psychodynamic therapy; she has a particular interest in the work of Carl Jung. She uses the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and the Enneagram to help further clients' self-understanding.
Jennifer has served as a pastoral counselor at Crownsville Hospital Center, a Maryland state psychiatric hospital. She has also served as an addictions and mental health counselor for both individuals and groups at Chrysalis House, a long-term residential treatment center for women with addictions. Kathleen M. Horrigan, MS, LGPC, NCDA
Kathleen is a pastoral clinician with over 15 years of experience walking alongside individuals, couples, and families, who are experiencing difficulties in marriage, family life and personal crisis or beginning a new direction in college or career.
Using an eclectic and holistic approach to counseling, Kathleen assists others in exploring the many effects of change and the challenges in making life transitions to include new mothers, stay at home Moms, Moms coming home from a career and Moms returning to work after the arrival of a baby. Stephanie offers a variety of modalities ranging from the pure relaxation of Swedish Massage to Myofascial to the deeper releases associated with deep tissue massage.
